How do I know which height ladder I will need to use on my stairs?
Firstly, measure vertically from where you want the ladder to sit on your staircase. The measurement we refer to as ‘free standing height’ is the vertical measurement from the base of the ladder (side you climb) to the top. For example, the 7 rung model has a ‘free standing height’ of 1.89m, which is the distance it will extend from the side you climb.
Can the ladder be used as a straight ladder too?
Yes it can. This ladder can be used as an extension ladder as well as a conventional combination ladder.
Is the stabiliser bar removable?
Yes it is, for storage or transport purposes. When using the ladder, the stabiliser should be attached at all times.
Can I remove the sections, to use as a single ladder?
Unfortunately, the sections cannot be separated. Both are connected by a safety strap.
What is the difference between ‘Extended Height’ and ‘Free Standing Height’?
The Extended Height refers to the maximum length the ladder will be when it is leant against the wall, like an extension ladder. The Free Standing Height displays the height of the ladder when it is being used in the A-Frame mode.
Can the ladders be stored outside?
Yes they can. The ladders are made from aluminium, so they will not rust if left outside. However if you are storing this way, it might not be a bad idea to put a cover over them.
