Industrial Scaffold Towers - Tower (HELIX™)

Made to exacting British Standards (BS1139 Part 3)(HD 1004) It meets all the requirements of any health and safety inspector. Available in single width and double width sizes, with complete easy to read/use assembly instructions. Some of its unique features include:

Castor wheels with dual brake on/off system
Adjustable leg units for stability on uneven surfaces
Quick release pull rings, on all bracings for fast assembly
Smooth & Ribbed tubing on all braces for quick identification of parts
Wide ladder with hexagonal rung for easier climb & safety
Outrigger Stabilisers with large articulated rubber feet.

Scaffold Safety - Working Loads

The maximum safe working load for the scaffolding tower is 950kg. This is to include the tower self weight and ballast. The maximum capacity of each working level is 275kg, regardless of the number of decks. The individual decks have a maximum capacity of 275kg.

The British Standard for portable scaffold towers safety is BS1139: Part 3: 1994 "Metal Scaffolding: Specification for prefabricated mobile access and working towers" (HD1004) and applies to INDUSTRIAL duty towers.

HD1004 published by the European Committee for Standardisation in 1992 is the basis for a European standard used across 18 different countries. BS1139: Part 3: 1994 is the British implementation of HD1004.
